Shakta (Seb Taylor) is one of the original pioneers of the Goa trance scene in the UK.

His first album, “Silicon Trip,” was released in 1997 and is considered a landmark in the early psytrance scene.

His live sets now focus on Shakta’s classic releases recorded between 1995 and 1999, which many consider the golden age of trance.

Over the years, Shakta has released records on labels such as Dragonfly, Transient, Phantasm, BNE, Flying Rhino, Matsuri, Phonokol, Alchemy, Nova Tekk, Distance, and many more.

Belgian label SUNTRIP Records has released Shakta’s latest album, a compilation of rare and remastered classic tracks entitled “RetroScape.”
